In the docklands of East London stands the Empire State, a nightclub full of magic and mystery. Designed like an ocean liner, it's become a battle ground where anything can happen. In the midst of the action, a young boy stows aboard to search for his friend who has disappeared in the entrails of the club.

Cathryn Harrison
Cathryn Mary Lee Harrison (born 29 May 1959) was an English actress. Cathryn was baptised on 27 September 1959 at St.John's Church,Hampstead,London,England. She is the daughter of the actor and singer Noel Harrison and Sara Lee Eberts and also the grand daughter of legendary actor Sir Rex Harrison.Her brother Simon Harrison is also an actor as well as her sister Harriet Harrison. She has a brother Will and a sister Chloe from her father's second marriage, and an older sister Zoe from her mother's first marriage to Carleton John Richard Tufnell. In May 1996 she married Paul Laing the son of Ronald David Laing and uses that name since then. Her most notable performances include Lily in Black Moon as well as many made-for-television movies including Portrait of a Marriage where she plays Violet Trefusis, Vita Sackville West's lesbian lover. She began her career in Robert Altman's Images and after two decades of low roles, started a career in British television and radio dramas. She appeared in Love on a Branch Line and an 1977 Australian film called Blue Fire Lady. She also appeared as Major Tom Cadman's wife in the ITV series Soldier Soldier, and played wardrobe assistant Irenie in the film version of Ronald Harwood's The Dresser. She died in 2018.

Jamie Foreman (born 1958) is an English actor best known for his roles as Duke in Layer Cake (2004) and Bill Sikes in Roman Polanski's Oliver Twist (2005). He played opposite Ray Winstone and Kathy Burke in Gary Oldman's Nil by Mouth and also featured in Elizabeth, Gangster No. 1 and Sleepy Hollow. He appeared in the 2006 Doctor Who episode "The Idiot's Lantern". He also featured as a racist taxi driver in The Football Factory. Foreman also played Basta in the film Inkheart. He also appeared in one episode of Law and Order: UK.
He is the son of Freddie Foreman, a former East End gangster and associate of the Kray twins.
His recent work for BBC Radio includes the title role in Wes Bell, directed by Matthew Broughton, and the six part series Hazelbeach by David Stafford and Caroline Stafford. He also played a small role in I'll Sleep When I'm Dead.
He is a fan of Tottenham Hotspur.

Martin James Landau (June 20, 1928 – July 15, 2017) was an American actor, acting coach, producer, and editorial cartoonist. His career began in the 1950s, with early film appearances including a supporting role in Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest (1959). He played regular roles in the television series Mission: Impossible (for which he received several Emmy Award nominations and a Golden Globe Award) and Space: 1999.
Landau received the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture, as well as his first nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, for his role in Tucker: The Man and His Dream (1988); he received his second Oscar nomination for his performance in Woody Allen's Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989). His performance in the supporting role of Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood (1994) earned him an Academy Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe Award.

Roger Ashton-Griffiths (born January 19, 1957 in Hemel Hempstead) is a British character actor, screenwriter and film director.
He graduated from Lancaster University (BMus) and the University of East London (MA Fine Art), and began his career as a singer with English National Opera at the London Coliseum.
He has appeared in numerous high-profile films, including Terry Gilliam's The Brothers Grimm and Brazil, A Knight's Tale, Martin Scorsese's Gangs of New York, Roman Polanski's Pirates, Peter Greenaway's The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover and Woody Allen's You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger.
He has also worked extensively in television, including Margaret and The Tudors (2009).
