Hywel Bennett (1944-2017) was a Welsh film and television actor best known for the trio of films he made in the '60s and '70s with Hayley Mills, and for his starring role in ITV's long running sitcom Shelley.
An English actor who came to prominence in the early 1960s with a succession of films including The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner (1962), Billy Liar (1963), and Dr. Zhivago (1965). Since the mid-1960s he has been known primarily for his work in the theatre. Courtenay received a knighthood in February 2001 for forty years' service to cinema and theatre. Courtenay is the President of Hull City A.F.C.'s Official Supporters Club. In 1999, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by Hull University. Julia Kathleen Nancy McKenzie CBE (born 17 February 1941) is an English actress, singer, presenter, and theatre director. She was awarded the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award in 1983 (1982 season) for Best Actress in a Musical, Guys and Dolls. She was awarded the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award in 1994 (1993 season) for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in Sweeney Todd at the Royal National Theatre. She was awarded the 1987 London Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Actress for her performance in Woman in Mind. Was nominated for Broadway's 1977 Tony Award as Best Actress (Featured Role - Musical) for "Side by Side by Sondheim" (under the name "Julie N. McKenzie").
