Jim Brown was an American former professional football player who also made his mark as an actor. He is best known for his exceptional and record-setting nine-year career as a running back for the NFL Cleveland Browns from 1957 to 1965. In 2002, he was named by Sporting News as the greatest professional football player ever. He is considered to be one of the greatest professional athletes the U.S. has ever produced. Rosalind Cash (December 31, 1938 – October 31, 1995) was an American singer and actress, whose best known film role was as Charlton Heston's character's love interest Lisa, in the 1971 science fiction cult classic, The Omega Man. To soap audiences, she is probably best remembered as Mary Mae Ward on General Hospital from 1994–1995. Cash was the second of four children. Her siblings were John (1936–1998), Robert, and Helen. All were born and raised in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Her older brother, Col. John A. Cash, enjoyed a long illustrious career with the United States Army. He died in 1998 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. Rosalind Cash graduated with honours from Atlantic City High School in 1956. She attended City College of New York and was an original member of the Negro Ensemble Company founded in 1968. Her career extended to stage, screen, and television. Her films included Klute (1971), The New Centurions (1972) with George C. Scott, Uptown Saturday Night (1974) with Sydney Poitier, and Wrong Is Right (1982). In 1995, she appeared in Tales from the Hood which marks her last film appearance during her lifetime. Cash was nominated for an Emmy Award for her work on the Public Broadcasting Service production of Go Tell it on the Mountain and in 1973 appeared as Goneril with James Earl Jones' Lear at the New York Shakespeare Festival. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. D'Urville Martin (February 11, 1939 – May 28, 1984) was an American actor and director in both film and television. He appeared with regularity in numerous 1970s movies in the blaxploitation genre of films. Born in New York City, D'urville began his career in the mid 1960s, soon becoming a prominent recurring figure in the genre. Martin acted in several movies of the time, including Black Like Me and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. Among his partners was the famous blaxploitation actor Fred “The Hammer” Williamson, playing his partner Toby in the Black Charley. Martin also directed films in his career, including Dolemite, starring Rudy Ray Moore. His career ended in 1984 with a heart attack at age 45 likely caused by his hard-partying lifestyle. She debuted in the Spaghetti Western The Great Silence and went on to appear in blaxploitation films such as Hammer, Melinda, Blacula, Shaft in Africa, Detroit 9000, and 1974's Thomasine & Bushrod alongside her then-boyfriend Max Julien. In 1975, she was Clint Eastwood's co-star in The Eiger Sanction. She was a regular on the 1987 Universal Television situation comedy Bustin' Loose, starring as Mimi Shaw for its only season (1987–88).
