Phil Silvers (1911–1985) was an American entertainer and comedy actor. He is best known for starring in The Phil Silvers Show.
An American actor. He has appeared in numerous movies and was a stand up comic before getting into acting. Lauter was born in Long Beach, Long Island, New York. His films include The Last American Hero (1973), Executive Action (1973), The Midnight Man (1974), The Longest Yard (1974), Breakheart Pass (1975), King Kong (1976), Magic (1978), Death Hunt (1981), Cujo (1983), Real Genius (1985), Girls Just Want To Have Fun (1985), Death Wish 3 (1985), Youngblood (1986), Raw Deal (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987), The Rocketeer (1991), School Ties (1992), True Romance (1993), Under Wraps (1997) Not Another Teen Movie (2001), Purple Heart (2005), Camille (2007) and A Modern Twain Story: The Prince and the Pauper(2007). He starred with Bruce Dern, Barbara Harris, Karen Black and William Devane in the final film of director Alfred Hitchcock, Family Plot. Hitchcock was impressed by Lauter and asked him to play a major role in the romantic espionage thriller he planned as his next film; the director's failing health and eventual death in 1980 meant that The Short Night never went into production. Lauter's TV guest appearances include performances on Psych, The X-Files, Kojak, The A-Team, Booker, Charmed, Highlander: The Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation (as Lt. Cmdr. Albert in the season 5 episode "The First Duty"),The Equalizer and ER (with a recurring role as Fire Captain Dannaker). Steven Robert Guttenberg (born August 24, 1958) is an American actor, author, businessman, producer, and director. He is known for his lead roles in Hollywood films of the 1980s and 1990s, including Cocoon, Police Academy, Three Men and a Baby, Three Men and a Little Lady, Diner, The Bedroom Window, The Big Green, and Short Circuit. While still in high school, he attended a summer program at the Juilliard School and studied under John Houseman. After graduating from high school, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. He made his film debut in 1978 in the drama The Boys from Brazil. His breakthrough role came in 1980, when he starred in the comedy Diner. He then went on to star in a string of successful films, including Cocoon, Police Academy, Three Men and a Baby, and Short Circuit. In the 1990s, his career slowed down, but he continued to work steadily in film and television. He has appeared in such films as The Lost World: Jurassic Park, The Day After, and Ballers. He has also had recurring roles on the television series Veronica Mars, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and The Goldbergs. In addition to his acting career, he is also a businessman and producer. He is the co-founder of the production company Guttenflick Pictures. He is also the author of two books, The Guttenberg Bible and The Kids from DISCO. Guttenberg is married to WCBS-TV reporter Emily Smith. They have been together since 2014 and were married in 2019.
Branscombe Richmond (born August 8, 1955) is a Native American actor, stuntman and singer who is equally capable of portraying cold-hearted villains on the one hand and warm-hearted, open "good guys" on the other, as evidenced by his huge grin and hearty laugh. The solidly built 6' 3" Richmond has regularly played the bad guy on-screen. He's been on the receiving end of the fists of Arnold Schwarzenegger in Commando (1985), gotten pummeled by Carl Weathers in Action Jackson (1988) and tangled with Steven Seagal in Hard to Kill (1990). Richmond is the son of movie stuntman Leo C. Richmond and first broke into film and TV in the early 1970s with minor roles in shows such as "The Bionic Woman" (1976), "The Rockford Files" (1974) and "Magnum, P.I." (1980). From there he quickly picked up work in numerous made-for-TV movies and was kept busy throughout the 1980s and 1990s with appearances in such A-grade productions as Licence to Kill (1989), Best Seller (1987) and Batman Returns (1992). He even found himself in the children's film Curly Sue (1991). In early 1991 Richmond scored the key role of "Bobby Six Killer" in the bounty hunter-themed TV series "Renegade" (1992) starring alongside Lorenzo Lamas and Kathleen Kinmont. The series was quite successful and ran from 1992 to 1997, turning out over 100 episodes! Additionally, Richmond has starred in plenty of B-movie action films and has become quite a cult figure of the genre. Since the late 1990s, Richmond has remained busy on several fronts. He's continued acting in Hollywood, is the official spokesman for Indian Motorcycles and is the lead singer for the band "Branscombe Richmond and the Renegade Posse". He's also notched up numerous awards, including being voted "Native American Entertainer of the Year" and "Mr Showman" of the year by the Las Vegas Review Journal.
