John Bett
John Bett is a British stage, film and television actor, director, and writer.
Alex Norton is a Scottish television, film and voice actor. He is perhaps best known for his roles as DCI Matt Burke in the STV detective drama series Taggart, and Eric Baird in BBC Two sitcom Two Doors Down. He played eleven roles in Bill Douglas' 1986 film Comrades and has starred in the key films of Bill Forsyth (Gregory's Girl, Local Hero and Comfort and Joy) as well as big Hollywood productions like Braveheart, White Hunter Black Heart and Patriot Games. He was one of the founder members of the 7:84 company, touring Scotland with The Cheviot, the Stag, and the Black Black Oil in the 1970s.
Born in Birkenhead from Irish Catholic stock, John McGrath was a British playwright, screenwriter. producer, director and socialist who took up the cause of Scottish independence and the principles of a radical, popular theatre with the creation of the 7:84 theatre company alongside his wife, Elizabeth MacLennan, and brother-in-law, David MacLennan. His most famous plays are arguably The Cheviot, the Stag and the Black, Black Oil which was brought to television in 1974 by John Mackenzie for the Play for Today strand, and Events While Guarding The Bofors Gun which was made into the film The Bofors Gun in 1968. He also wrote the screenplays for films such as Billion Dollar Brain, The Virgin Soldiers, The Reckoning, The Dressmaker and 1991's Robin Hood, and produced films such as Carrington and Aberdeen.

James Cosmos is known for his film roles as Angus MacLeod in Highlander, Campbell in Braveheart and as Father Christmas in the adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Over the years he has also had roles in films such as Trainspotting, The Last Legion, Troy, and 2081 . He also appeared in Take the High Road as Alex Geddes from 1982-83.
He is also a staple of British television, with credits in hundreds of television shows, Cosmo made a name for himself playing Scottish "tough guy" characters.
