Jon Pertwee
John Devon Roland "Jon" Pertwee (7 July 1919 – 20 May 1996) was an English actor, comedian, entertainer and cabaret performer. Born into a theatrical family, he served in the Royal Navy and the Naval Intelligence Division during the Second World War. In his early career he worked as a stage comedian, which included performing at the Glasgow Empire Theatre and sharing a bill with Max Wall and Jimmy James.
Catherine Ann "Katy" Manning (born 14 October 1946) is a British actress. Although she has made many appearances on both screen and stage, Manning is best known for her part as the companion Jo Grant in the BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who. Manning initially played the role regularly from 1971 to 1973 but also reprised the role in the Doctor Who spin-off The 'Sarah Jane Adventures' in 2010, and 'Power Of The Doctor' in 2022. She is also well known for voicing Iris Wildthyme in the audio series 'Iris Wildthyme' for Big Finish Productions since 2005.
Roger Delgado (1 March 1918 - 18 June 1973), full name Roger Caesar Marius Bernard de Delgado Torres Castillo Roberto, was a British actor, who will forever be known for being the first actor to play The Master in Doctor Who. Born in Whitechapel, within the sound of Bow Bells, to a Belgian mother and a Spanish father, Delgado was brought up in Bedford Park and attended the LSE before WWII was declared. His war service saw him rise to the rank of a major, serving with both the Leicestershire Regiment and the Royal Signals, despite his dislike of guns. He made his TV debut in 1948 and starred in several TV and film productions before his untimely death at the age of 55 in a car accident whilst filming the Franco/German TV production La Cloche tibétaine in Turkey. He had married twice, firstly to Olga Anthonisz and then, following his divorce. to Kismet Shahani who survived him.
John Rees was born on March 6, 1927 in Port Talbot, Wales as John Morgan Rees. He was an actor and composer, known for Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Eye of the Needle (1981) and Doctor Who (1963). He died in October 1994 in Spain.
Gambian Louis Felix Danner Mahoney came to England ostensibly to train as a doctor. However, he abandoned medicine for the stage, probably his original intention. He enrolled at acting school in the 1970s and was a tireless campaigner for racial equality in his profession.
