Cliff Potts (born January 5, 1942) is an American television and film actor most noted for supporting roles and guest appearances in more than sixty episodic television series between 1967 and 1999. Potts was a regular supporting player during the first season of The Name of the Game, a revolving 90-minute 1968 series about a publishing empire that featured Tony Franciosa, Gene Barry, and Robert Stack. He also appeared in a starring role in the short-lived 1977 TV series, "Big Hawaii," in which he played Mitch Fears, the rebellious son of rich landowner Barret Fears (John Dehner). He portrayed John Brooke in Little Women. His most widely-known film role is that of John Wolf in the cult science fiction film, Silent Running. Currently, Potts is retired from acting. Vittorio De Sica (7 July 1901 – 13 November 1974) was an Italian director and actor, a leading figure in the neorealist movement. Four of the films he directed won Academy Awards: Sciuscià and Bicycle Thieves (honorary), while Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow and Il giardino dei Finzi Contini won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Indeed, the great critical success of Sciuscià (the first foreign film to be so recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences) and Bicycle Thieves helped establish the permanent Best Foreign Film Award. These two films are considered part of the canon of classic cinema. Bicycle Thieves was cited by Turner Classic Movies as one of the 15 most influential films in cinema history. De Sica was also nominated for the 1957 Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for playing Major Rinaldi in American director Charles Vidor's 1957 adaptation of Ernest Hemingway's A Farewell to Arms, a movie that was panned by critics and proved a box office flop. De Sica's acting was considered the highlight of the film.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Delia Boccardo (born 29 January 1948) is an Italian film, television and stage actress. Born in Genoa, Boccardo spent her childhood and adolescence in Nervi, then studied at a Swiss college, at the Poggio Imperiale girls' school and, for about three years, at a college in Sussex, England. In 1965 she moved to Rome where she attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. Boccardo made her stage debut in 1967, alongside Raf Vallone in Uno sguardo dal ponte; shortly after she debuted in cinema. From the mid-1980s she focused her appearances on stage, where she worked intensively with Luca Ronconi, and on television.
Giancarlo Prete was an Italian actor. After he worked in the cinema as stuntman, Prete went to Alessandro Fersen's acting school (where he later returned as a teacher) and began to act in many films and in television serials, sometimes credited under the name Timothy Brent or Philip Garner. In the following years Prete worked as dubbing director and acted only in television productions (including the Space: 1999 episode "The Troubled Spirit" as Dr. Dan Mateo). He was married to Elizabeth Jacinto and had a son named Alessandro, who is also an actor. Giancarlo Prete died on 9 March 2001 of a brain tumor at the age of 58.

Gigi Ballista (1 December 1918 – 2 August 1980) was an Italian film and television actor. He appeared in 60 films between 1961 and 1980. Born in Florence, Ballista graduated in Law, then he started working as a PR consultant in the field of advertising and industrial documentaries. He debuted as an actor at a mature age in the early 1960s with some minor roles, but his breakout came in 1966 with a role of weight in Pietro Germi's The Birds, the Bees and the Italians. Following the critical and commercial success of the film, Ballista decided to pursue a professional career as an actor, and he became, mainly thanks to his characteristic hoarse and dysphonic voice, one of the most recognizable character actors in Italian cinema and television.
