After a scientific experiment goes horribly wrong during a demonstration, a scientist finds himself trapped in an alternate reality that bears some similarities to our own, but also has some striking differences. In this other reality the Second World War had never occurred, mankind had not yet traveled into Space and Mt. Everest had not yet been conquered, just to name a few things. Also in this other reality he is no longer a scientist but rather a well known author. After a personal tragedy in this alternate world, he finds himself back in his own world and desperately trying to locate the woman he fell in love with in the other world. Little does she know, however, that her life depends on him finding her.

Laurence Naismith (14 December 1908 – 5 June 1992) was an English actor.
Naismith appeared in films such as Diamonds Are Forever (1971), Richard III (1955), Jason and the Argonauts (1963), Sink the Bismarck! (1960), Carrington VC (1954) and as Captain Edward Smith of the RMS Titanic in A Night to Remember (1958). He appeared on Broadway in the musical Here's Love in 1963 and played the non-singing role of Merlin in the 1967 film version of the musical Camelot.
In 1965 he guest-starred as barber Gilly Bright in episode 25, "The Threat" of 12 O-Clock High (TV series). He was Judge Fulton in the TV series The Persuaders! (1971), with Tony Curtis and Roger Moore. He also starred in a children's ghost film The Amazing Mr Blunden (1972). He portrayed Emperor of Austria Franz Joseph in the BBC production Fall of Eagles (1974). Naismith played the Prince of Verona in the BBC Television Shakespeare version of Romeo & Juliet.
Outside of acting he was the landlord of the Rowbarge pub at Woolhampton, Berkshire and a keen cricket fan. Naismith married, in 1939, Vera Bocca of Horden, County Durham.

David Weston (born 28 July 1938, London) is an English actor, director and author. Since graduating from RADA in 1961 (having won the Silver Medal for that year) he has acted in numerous film, television and stage productions, including twenty-seven plays in Shakespeare's canon. With Michael Croft he was a founder member of the National Youth Theatre. Much of his directing work has been for that organization; he has directed also at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre and a number of other theatres in London. He wrote and narrated a series of non-fiction audio books, including Shakespeare His Life and Work which won the 2001 Benjamin Franklin Award for best audio non-fiction book.

Neil John McCallum (1929–1976) was a British-Canadian actor. After attending the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, McCallum's first major appearance on stage was alongside Sam Wanamaker in The Rainmaker in the mid-1950s.[3] He appeared in British TV series in the 1950s, 1960s and early 1970s, including The Saint, Department S and UFO, and in films such as The Siege of Pinchgut (1959) and Dr. Terror's House of Horrors (1965).[4] He provided the voices of Dr Ray Pierce in the film Thunderbirds Are Go (1966) and an airport controller in the TV series Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons (1967).[5] He played lead character Angelo James in the BBC TV series Vendetta (1966-68).
He was also a scriptwriter (scripting two 1964 thrillers, Do You Know this Voice? and Walk a Tightrope, among other things), a producer and occasional director.

Stone appeared in three successive Stanley Kubrick films: playing the central character Alex's "Dad" in A Clockwork Orange (1971), "Graham" (the Lyndon family lawyer) in Barry Lyndon (1975) and as "Delbert Grady," the original caretaker in The Shining (1980). The only other actor to be credited in three Kubrick films is Joe Turkel. John William Francis Hallam (28 October 1941 – 14 November 2006[1]) was a Northern Irish character actor.
Born John William Francis Hallam in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, he appeared in many film and television roles including Nicholas and Alexandra (1971),Murphy's War (1971), The Pallisers (1974), The Mallens (1979), Flash Gordon (1980), Dragonslayer (1981), the BBC television adaptations of Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (1989) and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991). He also appears in the director's cut of the 1973 film The Wicker Man as McTaggart.
He appeared in the science fiction series Doctor Who as the memorable alien "Light" in the serial Ghost Light (1989). He was also known as Barnsey, the prison cell mate of Den Watts in EastEnders.
On November 14, 2006, Hallam died in Clifton, Oxfordshire, England at age 65. He was divorced and had four children.

Wood was best known for roles in Star Wars (1977), Elephant Man (1980) and From Russia with Love (1963). Wood has appeared in a large number of American films, due to filming taking place partly or entirely in Britain. As a British-based actor and supporting artist, he worked extensively in British films since the late 1940s until 2001 and television since the 1950s.
He appeared in a wide range of television shows including Dangerman, Gideon's Way, The Professionals, The Baron and Gone to Seed (1992).
