From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia John Saxon (born Carmine Orrico; August 5, 1935 – July 25, 2020) was an American actor and martial artist who worked on more than 200 projects during a span of 60 years. Saxon is known for his work in Westerns and horror movies, often playing police officers and detectives. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Saxon studied acting with Stella Adler before beginning his career as a contract actor for Universal Pictures, playing in such movies as Rock, Pretty Baby (1956) and Portrait in Black (1961). During the 1970s and 1980s, he established himself as a character actor, frequently portraying law enforcement officials in horror movies such as Black Christmas (1974), Dario Argento's Tenebrae (1982), and A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). In addition to his roles in horror movies, Saxon co-starred with Bruce Lee in the martial arts movie Enter the Dragon (1973), and has supporting roles in the westerns Death of a Gunfighter (1969) and Joe Kidd (1972), as well as the adventure thriller Raid on Entebbe (1977). In the 1990s, Saxon occasionally appeared in movies, with small roles in Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994) and From Dusk till Dawn (1996). Saxon died of pneumonia in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on July 25, 2020.

David Lewis (October 19, 1916 – December 11, 2000) was an American actor, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was best known for being the original actor to portray Edward Quartermaine from 1978 to 1993 on the American soap opera General Hospital. Lewis was a pioneering actor in television, his first televised role occurring in 1949 on the show Captain Video and His Video Rangers. His credits include appearing in seven episodes of Perry Mason and in the recurring role of Warden Crichton in Batman. Lewis appeared on daytime T.V., making his soap debut on Love of Life as a murderer and later playing patriarch Henry Pierce on Bright Promise. Brief guest stints on The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives followed. In 1978, he joined the cast of General Hospital in the role of Edward Quartermaine, for which he won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Daytime Drama in 1982. Lewis took time off between 1987 and 1988 for medical recovery and departed in 1989 during which time Edward was believed to be dead. Lewis continued to come to the studio, however, to tape his voice so wife Lila could have conversations with him. Lewis made his comeback in November 1991 when Edward came back from the dead and in the summer of 1993, Lewis announced he was retiring permanently.

At the age of 13 Howard Cohen moved with his family from his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee to New York City, where he began studying acting. Learning to erase his Southern accent, he went on to became a master of 32 foreign and American dialects. After serving in World War II- he joined the United States Navy fighting the Japanese in the Pacific theater - Caine continued his studies at The School of Drama, Columbia University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He appeared on Broadway in Wonderful Town, Inherit the Wind, Lunatics and Lovers and Tiger at the Gates. He succeeded Ray Walston as "Mr. Applegate" in the original production of Damn Yankees. He was featured in such films as From the Terrace (1960), Pay or Die (1960), Judgment at Nuremberg (1961), Brushfire (1962), The Man from the Diner's Club (1963), Pressure Point (1962) and Alvarez Kelly (1966). He co-starred with Godfrey Cambridge and Estelle Parsons in Watermelon Man (1970). He was a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science. He acted in more than 750 live and filmed television programs, including the 1961 episode "The Vials" of the western series Two Faces West. He may be best-remembered as Major Hochstetter on Hogan's Heroes (1965). He was featured as "Everett Scovill", a thinly disguised portrait of Charles Manson's attorney Irving Kanarek, on Helter Skelter (1976). A native of Tennessee, Caine had always been fascinated with the Appalachian five-string banjo, and began mastering it in the mid-'60s. Dee Pollock was born on September 24, 1937 in Alhambra, California, USA. He was an actor and producer, known for Kelly's Heroes (1970), The Wayward Bus (1957) and The Outer Limits (1963). He died on December 27, 2005 in Chico, California. In 1989, Pollock moved from southern California up to Chico to care for his mother. In his later years, he had given up acting and become involved in a Hindu religion based on the Babaji, an ancient figure cast as the Yogi-Christ of Modern India. Pollock often went to Kauai to fellowship with a group of Babaji followers and was regarded highly in the spiritual order so much that news of his death was noted by the Dalai Lama in Tibet, who asked for prayers in his memory. His body was cremated on Kauai and his ashes scattered in a river on the island. CLR

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Donald Bruce Stewart (November 14, 1935 – January 9, 2006) was an American actor best known for his long-running role as attorney Mike Bauer on Guiding Light. Stewart appeared on Guiding Light from 1968 to 1984, with a brief return appearance in 1997. Although born in Staten Island, New York, Stewart spent his youth in Norfolk, Nebraska. He served six years as a pilot in the United States Air Force. He also later served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Naval Reserve. Stewart studied opera in New York City and landed a job as an understudy to Robert Goulet in the Broadway production of Camelot. After landing the role of Mike Bauer on Guiding Light, Stewart continued to perform in musical theater and nightclubs. Prior to Guiding Light, he appeared on numerous episodes of the 1960's television series Dragnet. After leaving Guiding Light, Stewart relocated to California, where he made guest appearances in a number of television series, including L.A. Law, Highway to Heaven, and Knots Landing. He also provided the voice of Clem in the 1991 film Rover Dangerfield. His final public appearance was in a 2001 episode of JAG. Although a nonsmoker, Stewart died of lung cancer in Santa Barbara, California at age 70. He was survived by his second wife and two daughters from his first marriage. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Bert Remsen (February 25, 1925 – April 22, 1999) was an American actor. Remsen was born in Glen Cove, New York, on Long Island. He played character roles in numerous films directed by Robert Altman, including: Brewster McCloud (1970), McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971), Thieves Like Us (1974), California Split (1974), Nashville (1975), Buffalo Bill and the Indians, or Sitting Bull's History Lesson (1976), A Wedding (1978), "Dallas" as Harrison 'Dandy' Dandridge (1987) and Daddy's Dyin'...Who's Got the Will? (1990). After suffering an injury on the set of a television show, Remsen had moved away from acting. He was hired as the casting director on Brewster McCloud when Altman talked him into taking a role in the film. He was briefly married to Little House on the Prairie actress Katherine MacGregor.
