Gwen Watford (10 September 1927 — 6 February 1994) was an English film, stage, and television actress. She married actor Richard Bebb in 1952. Born in London, Watford trained at the Embassy Theatre and the Old Vic. She made her film debut playing Lady Usher in The Fall of the House of Usher (1949). Other films include Never Take Sweets from a Stranger (1960), The Very Edge (1962), Cleopatra (1963), and Cry Freedom (1987). She died from cancer, aged 66, in 1994. He played leading roles in several London West End plays and also supported Maggie Smith, Robert Morley and others in long-running West End stage productions. His many screen appearances included character parts in three Polanski films.
