Charlton Heston was an American actor of film, theatre and television. Heston is known for heroic roles in films such as The Ten Commandments, Planet of the Apes and Ben-Hur, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor. Heston was also known for his political activism. In the 1950s and 1960s he was one of a handful of Hollywood actors to speak openly against racism and was an active supporter of the Civil Rights Movement. Initially a moderate Democrat, he later supported conservative Republican policies and was president of the National Rifle Association from 1998 to 2003.

Arthur Franz (February 29, 1920 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey – June 17, 2006) was a B-movie actor whose most notable role was as Lieutenant, Junior Grade H. Paynter, Jr. in The Caine Mutiny. He also appeared in Roseanna McCoy (1949), Invaders from Mars (1953), Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man (1951) and The Unholy Wife (1957), among others. In The Sniper (1952), he played a rare movie lead in the film's title role as a tormented killer. In addition to films, Franz was a familiar face on American television, appearing on dozen of television programs including Crossroads, Perry Mason, The F.B.I., The Mod Squad, Custer, The Virginian and Rawhide. Franz portrayed Congressman Charles A. Halleck in the 1974, made for TV film, The Missiles of October. Franz's last film role was in That Championship Season in 1982. Franz's interest in acting developed when he was a high school student. During World War II, Franz served as a B-24 Liberator navigator in the United States Army Air Forces. He was shot down over Romania and incarcerated in a POW camp, from which he escaped. Franz died in Oxnard, California at the age of 86 from emphysema and heart disease. With 900 stage roles to his credit, he became one of the most successful actors in the developing field of radio drama. A friend and associate of Orson Welles for many years, Collins went to Hollywood with the Mercury Theatre company and made his feature-film debut in Citizen Kane, as Kane's ruthless political rival. Collins appeared in more than 75 films and had one of his best-remembered roles on television, as the irascible Lieutenant Arthur Tragg on the television series Perry Mason.

In his career, he made more than 180 appearances in film and on television. He was on occasion erroneously credited as Lester Mathews and especially in later years was sometimes known as Les Matthews. He died on the 6 June 1975 in Los Angeles, California. He was cremated. His ashes were scattered into the Pacific Ocean. Francis Thomas Sullivan, aka Frank Sully, was an American character actor. Beefy and square-jawed, he was usually cast as rustic types or dumb heavies. He was a regular feature in Three Stooges shorts. Sully started his career as a comedian in vaudeville and appeared on Broadway from the late 1920s. He is known for the films The Grapes of Wrath (1940), The More the Merrier (1943) and Bye Bye Birdie (1963).
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Ann Robinson (born May 25, 1929) is an American actress. Robinson was born in Hollywood, California to a bank employee father. She began her professional life as a stunt woman. Paramount signed her as an actress in the 1950s, and her first leading role was as "Sylvia Van Buren" in that studio's 1953 film, The War of the Worlds, a role she reprised 35 years later in three episodes of the War of the Worlds television series. She also had a small role in the 2005 Steven Spielberg film, War of the Worlds. Her career as a leading woman was effectively ended when she eloped to Mexico to marry a matador, Jaime Bravo, with whom she had two sons, Jaime Jr. and Estefan. Since then she has played minor roles, mainly in science fiction films. The couple divorced in 1967. Bravo died in an automobile accident in 1970. She married real estate broker Joseph Valdez in 1987. Robinson makes guest appearances at autograph shows and science fiction conventions.
