Eugene Jackson gained fame as Farina's older brother, Pineapple, in six of Hal Roach's "Our Gang" serials - "The Mysterious Mystery", "The Big Town", "Circus Fever", "Dog Days", "The Love Bug" and "Shootin Injuns". Besides films he sang and danced on the vaudeville circuit - billed as "Hollywood's most famous colored kid star". Most of his film roles were bit parts, most uncredited. He did appear as Diahann Carroll's Uncle Lou on TV's "Julia" and Redd Foxx's friend on "Sanford and Son". In later years he taught dance at studios he started in Compton and Pasadena. He trained several performers in the 1959 film Porgy and Bess. His work was featured in a dance retrospective for the 1993 Los Angeles Festival.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Mitchell Lewis (June 26, 1880 – August 24, 1956) was an American film actor whose career as a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer contract player encompassed both silent and sound films. He appeared in more than 175 films between 1914 and 1956. During the silent era he played supporting roles, such as Sheihk Idrim in 1925's Ben Hur, then Ernest De Farge in A Tale of Two Cities (1935) in the sound era, but his career would diminish to small uncredited roles like the Captain of the Winkie Guards in The Wizard of Oz (1939). Mitchell served as one of the original board members of the Motion Picture Relief Fund, now known as the Motion Picture & Television Fund.
Alberto Morin was born on December 26, 1902 in San Juan, Puerto Rico as Salvador R. López. He is known for his work on Sierra torride (1970), Rio Grande (1950) andMilagro (1988). He died on April 7, 1989 in Burbank, California, USA. Was an OSS officer during World War II, and spoke seven languages fluently. He met director John Ford during that period--Ford was a naval officer who also worked with the OSS--and after the war, Ford put Morin in many of his films.
