Captain John Kent is a pilot in charge of the border patrol. Two crooks who head up a smuggling operation, Morley and his associate Faber, are trying to outwit Kent. The smugglers hope that they can influence Kent's younger brother Doug to help them, and they employ an attractive singer in an attempt to win Doug over.

Edward Nugent (February 7, 1904 – January 3, 1995) was an American film actor.
Born in 1904 in New York City, Nugent appeared in 81 films between 1928 and 1937. He subsequently had a second acting career on Broadway. Brooklyn USA (1941), the comedy Junior Miss (1942), and See My Lawyer (1939) were some of his best roles. His next career was as a television producer, writer, and director for American Broadcasting Company. As a child, he sang with the Metropolitan Opera. He died in San Antonio, Texas.

Lona Andre (March 2, 1915 – September 18, 1992) was an American film actress. Born Launa Anderson in Nashville, Tennessee, Andre attracted attention with her first films in Hollywood and was named as one of the WAMPAS Baby Stars of 1932. After winning the Paramount Panther Woman Contest, she was signed to a movie contract by Paramount Pictures. When Paramount did not renew her option, Andre worked as a freelance artist. During the 1930s she appeared frequently in films, usually as the lead in "B" pictures, and by the end of the decade had starred in more than fifty films. In 1934 Andre was part of the cast of School For Girls along with Toby Wing, Lois Wilson, Sidney Fox, and Dorothy Lee and in 1936 appeared alongside Laurel and Hardy in their feature film Our Relations. In June 1935, Andre eloped to Santa Barbara, California to marry MGM actor Edward Norris. Andre filed for an annulment action four days after her marriage in Tijuana, Mexico. She was later married to salesman, James T. Bolling, and was divorced from him in March 1947. In 1938 Andre set a world's golfing record for women by shooting 156 holes of golf in 11 hours and 56 minutes on the Lake Norconian, California course. Her best round was 91 for 18 holes and her worst was 115. Her acting career was greatly diminished during the 1940s, and she made her last film appearance in 1949 in Two Knights From Brooklyn. After her film career ended she became a successful businesswoman and never returned to acting. She was interred in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, California.

Grant Withers (January 17, 1905, Pueblo, Colorado – March 27, 1959, North Hollywood, Los Angeles, California), born Granville G. Withers, was a prolific American film actor with a sizeable body of work.
With early beginnings in the silent era, Withers moved into talkies establishing himself with an impressive list of headlined features as a young and handsome male lead.
As his career progressed, his importance diminished, but he did manage a 10-year contract at Republic Pictures. His friendships with both John Ford and John Wayne secured him a spot in nine of Wayne's films, but later roles dwindled to supporting parts, mainly as villains in B-movies, serials, and finally television. He appeared in the late 1950s in two episodes of the syndicated western series 26 Men, set in Arizona, where he had earlier eloped with Loretta Young.
His life in film, five unsuccessful marriages, and a tragic end had all the makings of its own Hollywood drama.

Harvey appeared in minstrel shows, in vaudeville, and on the Broadway stage but is best remembered as a character actor who appeared in more than three hundred films and episodes of television series.
He had roles in the films The Oregon Trail, Old Overland Trail, Wyoming Renegades, Ride Beyond Vengeance, and many other westerns.
In the 1950s, Harvey was cast in The Roy Rogers Show, Man Without a Gun and The Lone Ranger. In 1962, he appeared on It's a Man's World. In the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, he guest-starred on Branded, Lassie, Hazel, The Wild Wild West, Mannix, Alias Smith and Jones, Bonanza, and Columbo. His last appearance was in an episode of Adam-12-
A well known character actor, Vigran was originally a law school graduate. He later chose to pursue acting, and performed in hundreds of radio shows with the likes of Jack Benny, Bob Hope and Jimmy Durante. He appeared frequently as various villains on the television series Adventures of Superman (1952), and made several guest appearances on television series like The Brady Bunch (1969) and I Love Lucy (1951).
