In this drama, a traveling troupe of actors find themselves in danger of becoming unemployed when their manager up and leaves. Two of the actors decide to marry and settle down. The lead actor helps set up the rest of the troupe with some performances. He then destroys the new marriage. Later the woman and the head actor fall in love. He then gives her the lead role in his newest show.

With a small frame and delicate features, she played innocent young girls, flappers, and wholesome leading ladies. In addition to her acting career, she wrote the screenplay for the 1919 movie A Yankee Princess. Edward Nugent (February 7, 1904 – January 3, 1995) was an American film actor.
Born in 1904 in New York City, Nugent appeared in 81 films between 1928 and 1937. He subsequently had a second acting career on Broadway. Brooklyn USA (1941), the comedy Junior Miss (1942), and See My Lawyer (1939) were some of his best roles. His next career was as a television producer, writer, and director for American Broadcasting Company. As a child, he sang with the Metropolitan Opera. He died in San Antonio, Texas.

Jed Prouty (April 6, 1879 – May 10, 1956) was an American film actor. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Prouty was a vaudeville performer before becoming a film actor. Mostly appearing in comedies, he occasionally performed a serious character role, for instance a small part as an oily publicist in A Star is Born (1937).

Lucy Beaumont (born Lucy Emily Pinkstone, 18 May 1869 – 24 April 1937) was an English actress of the stage and screen from Bristol.
Beaumont was educated at a young ladies' college in Bath, Somerset. On the American stage, she played opposite Walter Connolly in The Bishop Misbehaves and Leslie Howard in Berkeley Square. Later she appeared in the film version of Berkeley Square. During the 1914–15 season Beaumont was in My Lady's Dress at the Playhouse in New York. The following season she was featured in Quinneys, for part of the play's run. In 1916 she appeared with Frances Starr in Little Lady in Blue.
Beaumont played mostly mother parts on the screen. Some of her films are The Greater Glory (1926), with Conway Tearle, The Man Without A Country (1925), with Pauline Starke, Torrent (1926), with Ricardo Cortez, The Beloved Rogue, with John Barrymore, Resurrection (1927), with Dolores del Río, The Crowd (1928), with Eleanor Boardman and Maid of Salem (1937), her final motion picture, with Claudette Colbert. Her final professional appearance was in April 1937 on the Robert L. Ripley radio programme.

Ethel Wales (April 4, 1878 - February 15, 1952) was an American actress, who appeared in 130 films during her 30-year career. She was the first wife of Wellington E. Wales (1886–1954), Mary Pickford's business manager during the height of her popularity. The couple had one son, Wellington Charles Wales (1918–1966), an editorial writer for the New York Times who died of a heart attack shortly after his 19 year-old son Samuel was killed in a train mishap. Her second husband was actor Hal Taliaferro.
